Heritage leather: Characteristics
Hermes uses only full-grain, or the topmost layer of an animal’s skin. This layer of leather is not pressed to ensure durability.replica Hermes heritage leather is made from only the finest animal hides and artisanal techniques that have been perfected for over a hundred years. It’s a favorite among collectors. The leather’s most distinctive feature is its natural patina, which develops over time and offers remarkable transparency and strength. The aniline is applied to the leather during the manufacturing phase, which enhances the surface of the hide. This finish brings out the natural characteristics in the hide such as fine wrinkles and pores. Heritage leather is unique among leathers because of this. Heritage leather is chosen for its raw materials because any imperfections in the leather are visible. The aniline-finished leather has a delicate finish and develops over time a unique patina. Each leather piece becomes a collectible because of its unique beauty.
